Mom and sister are showing up at my apartment at 9am tomorrow morning to begin a day of revelry that will likely be both long and exhausting.  Still working on my report.  Probably at least an hour away from being done, which would give me less than 5 hours of sleep following a previous night of 6 hours of sleep and a night before of less than that and I can’t remember what all else.  I am TIRED! REPORT! WRITE YOURSELF! IDGAF ANYMORE!  HEERHUUUUUNNGGGGG EEERRRRGGG!!!! whine whine whimper mimblewhimble.

I’m not even hungry, I’m just bored and tired and trying to stay awake so I can keep plugging away at this paper, at the rate of 1 word every half-hour. 

What I really need is some @(#&@!!)#)%*&#$^ sleep.

Instead I have frozen pizza and shouting neighbours.

I just wanted it to get here.  But today my mom was asking if we’re allowed to have a special professor hand us our diploma (when my sister graduated medical school, they were allowed to ask a special professor give them their diploma, so my sister had….my mom and dad give her her diploma).  I hadn’t ever thought of that, but then right then and there I got all teary about the idea that I could ask a professor.  I have one professor in mind; she never taught me in a class but she was the dean of first year students when I was a first year and she really helped me a lot when I was thinking about dropping out (which I maintain might not have been a bad thing, but just that she was extremely kind to me) and now she is the faculty advisor to Women’s Caucus, of which I am the co-chair, so I’ve gotten to work with her a little more this year.  I just love her and kind of want her to be my friend. 

I emailed the school to see if we’re allowed to request professors to give us our diplomas; I really hope they allow it and she says yes.  I think it would mean a lot to me to have the person who was so nice to me when I was about to drop out give me my diploma upon graduation.

FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK I’m really excited they’re coming but I need them to get stuck in, like, a 2-hour traffic jam. I pulled so many all-nighters in the last week that I was incapable of waking up at a normal hour with a full 7-hours of sleep last night since I’d had virtually no sleep in the last three days and NOW I’m so behind…

This is mine, but just after it was done so the colour is less dark than that.  Weirdly, I thought it was on the other shoulder but I don’t know because I can only see it in the mirror.  I’m confused now.

A good flower tattoo artist?! I really want a daffodil, but I haven’t found a single example of one that didn’t look ridiculously bad or too cartoonish.

Yeah, the artist who did my peony tattoo did a really good job.  But as I was googling and researching I noticed that phoenix tattoos are really common (not that peonies aren’t…) and I got a bit turned off the idea.  It was a little too….girl gets dumped, gets a phoenix tattoo (which was just too close to the truth to be a good idea, you know?) and I felt like the peony was more me, anyway.  But I still sort of wish I had a Fawkes tat. He’s pretty fierce.

I love the idea of a phoenix tattoo, but it’s one of those things that would cost a lot of money to have done well, you know? Would have to be a great artist.

Dilemma.

I was really debating getting a tattoo of a phoenix, but the only one I liked was this picture, and that’s probably illegal. But I LOVE this phoenix/Fawkes pic.  His face is awesome.

I always hoped Fawkes would come back and be Harry’s pet afterwards, because Harry had been so loyal to Dumbledore in the end that it showed he was worthy of Fawkes (or something).  IDK, I wanted Fawkes to come back (and be my pet, really.)

If I stay up all night tonight and all night tomorrow night, maybe I can get everything done before my family gets here on Thursday at 11am….except I have to be out all day tomorrow afternoon so that’s probably not enough…
